Original Design - Kitty in the Window

I was ambitious and designed this pattern for a cat quilt. I am a cat lady and there will be cat quilts, I assure you. I've seen similar patterns, but this one I drew on graph paper and figured out the measurements. It was fun, and at times frustrating, and even now I know I could improve the pattern, but this was my first attempt at making my own design and creating a block sample.

This block is dedicated to my feline Sir William, who inspired me by sitting in the kitchen window behind the curtain to gaze out into the backyard at squirrels, birds, and leaves blowing in the breeze.
